
The Zappy Box
A 2.5-year journey of building a premium gifting brand’s visual identity through strategy and content. From everyday social posts to large festive campaigns. My role combined creative direction, production, and post-production, ensuring each piece of content reflected the brand’s premium, thoughtful, and celebratory spirit. I worked across concept creation, styling, shooting, editing, and scheduling, collaborating with product, marketing, and sales teams to align creative with business goals.
Case Study: Social Media Growth at The Zappy Box
The Zappy Box is a bootstrap gifting startup that had minimal social media presence in its early years. I joined as a content creator when the brand had just 5,956 Instagram followers and almost no presence on other platforms.

Key Achievements

Instagram: Scaled from 5.9K → 25K followers in 2.5 years (+400% growth, 5x increase).

LinkedIn: Grew from 100 → 2,500+ followers (+1,900% growth, 20x increase).

Pinterest: Peaked at 200K+ monthly views during festive season. Started from scratch and built consistent engagement + website clicks.

Sales Impact: 150% average increase in sales over these years. Supported Google & Meta ad campaigns with content that boosted conversions.

Content & Marketing
1. Humanizing the brand
A brand like The Zappy Box needed a personal, human touch in its content. By making employees the face of the brand, appearing in everything from promotional reels to personal and brand celebrations, we created a sense of authenticity and transparency. This approach helped the brand feel more relatable, human, and emotionally connected to its audience.

Linkedin Marketing
Grew LinkedIn from minimal engagement to meaningful conversations around gifting challenges, solutions, behind-the-scenes moments, employee stories, celebrations, and more, making the brand feel as authentic as possible.
2. Seasonal Brand Campaigns
Seasonal campaigns that focused on selling emotions and stories rather than just products, positioning The Zappy Box as a thoughtful gifting brand. Focusing on ocassions like Christmas, Diwali, Mother's and Father's day, Valentine's Day and so on.

3. Creative & Value-driven Content
Focusing on value-driven content alongside sales strengthened the brand’s overall image and presence from gift-wrapping tutorials to thoughtful gifting advice and more.
My Role here:

Led the brand’s full content ecosystem: annual strategy, monthly calendars, cross-platform management (Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, Twitter, Threads).

Created high-performing content end-to-end, including scripting, shooting, editing, and producing campaign assets across formats.

Designed and executed major on-season and off-season digital campaigns, driving consistent engagement and brand visibility.

Managed email marketing, organic social growth, influencer collaborations, and supported Meta/Google ad creatives.

Supervised a team of social media executives and designers, ensuring smooth execution and strong brand output, while also occasionally supporting key HR functions.
Outcome
Over these years, I transformed The Zappy Box’s social presence into a vibrant, engaging community, driving both brand visibility and sales growth. This role honed my expertise in content strategy, campaign design, and brand storytelling- skills I carry into every project I take on.
